Happy Easter!

We spent the Easter at the lakehouse- it was so nice to have great weather!! I can't wait for the girls to get here so we can spend summers fishing and swimming!

I went to the doctor on Friday and he looked at both girls' hearts and everything looked just fine. They are getting big...an average singleton baby is around 10 1/2 ounces at this time and we have one weighing in at 11 ounces and one came in at 12 ounces!! A singleton baby wouldn't weigh as much as my two together until about 26 weeks! No wonder my belly is getting so big- I'm still measuring about 6 weeks ahead. In other words, I'm already as big as I would be with one baby at about 7 months! They are very active and I can feel them moving frequently, Andie even felt a kick the other day! It was quite exciting for him. We just can't wait to meet them!

And they shall be called...

We've chosen names for our sweet peas- Addison Lee and Allison Grace!!! Lee is Andie's middle name and his grandmother's middle name, and Allison is my middle name so they each are named after one side of the family. We will probably call them Addie and Allie for short, and we think they'll have lots of fun with their cousins Abbie and Adlee. Can you see the trend here??? There will be a monetary award for anyone who can correctly name all four girls at family reunions!!

They are moving around lots these days and I've felt a few really good kicks! They are growing fast as you can tell by the most recent belly pic- what a difference a couple weeks makes!! I'm really starting to show a lot and can't imagine how much bigger I'll get!

It's all downhill from here!

Now that I'm halfway through I feel like things are going to be moving very fast now. In fact I'm a little nervous about getting everything done before the doctors decide to put me on me on bed rest. They have said I will need to cut back my hours at work by 24-26 weeks but I'm nervous that by 30 weeks I'll be on full bed rest...that's leaves only 10 more weekends for me to shop, fix the nursery, have baby showers, and do all the things I need to do!!!! I'm of course hoping for the best and crossing my fingers that I don't have to go on bed rest at all, but I also feel like I need to prepare for the worst case scenario too.

The babies are moving a lot now and I can finally distinguish their little flutters from stomach digestion! I haven't had any kicks strong enough for Andie to feel yet which is really disappointing to him, but any day now I know it's coming. Other than occassional sciatic pain I'm feeling great! I feel really blessed that I've made it this far through the pregnancy without feeling uncomfortable, and with no major complications.

I don't have any doctor appointments this week but next Friday I see the perinatologist so he can do echocardiograms on the babies- isn't it amazing that they can look at their hearts while they're still in there!! That will be really cool to see. Being a "high risk" pregnancy isn't all bad...I get to have all these cool things done that let me see how my little ones are developing every step of the way. I feel really fortunate to have such a unique experience in that regard.

I've been busy narrowing down fabrics for the nursery and I think I've almost made a final decision. My next task is to update and complete my online registries- there's soooo much to shop for!

We've narrowed down our list of possible names and I feel confident we will make a decision soon...hold out a little longer people!!
